NPP Fabricated Mills Token Mansion Story Allotey Jacobs

Central Regional Communications Director for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has rubbished the continuous public discourse on the three-bedroom outhouse being constructed by real estate developers, Regimanuel Gray Limited for the security detail at President Mills private residence. To him, there are better things to discuss than expending energy and resources poring over a non-existing mansion as propagated by the NPP, adding that the NPP is desperately and systematically planting propaganda issues in the public domain to divert Ghanaians attention from the good works of the Mills-led administration. The Daily Searchlight newspaper in its Monday August 15 edition published a story with the headline Manifesting The Better GhanaMills Grabs Brand New Mansion!, alleging that President Mills has built a mansion on a piece of land at his private residence at Asanfra Street in the Platinum section of the Regimanuel Gray Estates on the Spintex Road. However in a quick rebuttal, the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho told Adom FM that the out-house, not a mansion, was a token of appreciation from Regimanuel Gray Estates Ltd. Contributing to discussions on Peace FMs Kokrokoo Morning show, Allotey Jacobs said the whole media uprising on President Mills supposed mansion was fabricated by the NPP to cover up the damning report on the NPPs Abuse of Incumbency in 2008, which was sighted on the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA)s website and leaked by the Ghana News Agency (GNA). It all started with Baba Jamal and now they have turned their attention to Koku Anyidoho. I think that within the NPP, there is a systematic propaganda just to throw lies into the public domain to divert attention from the good works of President Mills, hence they will hold on any straw to make noise. All this things are being done just to cover up the IEA reportand this has redeemed them, he said. Dismayed at the trend and nature of public discourse on the incident, Allotey Jacobs reiterated that Koku only said token, but sadly and strangely we now have examiners analyzing and offering meanings of token and have even embellished it and made a big propaganda meal out of it. He urged the NPP to move away from petty politics and focus on important issues.
