Have You Seen This?

At first sight it looks like an NDC advert. The ad, which has been appearing in newspapers since Monday, carries a simple intro; "My Brothers and Sisters..." a phrase often used by the president, whose shadow can be easily seen covering the full length of the page, which is bordered with colours of NDC. This is followed by a simple message which plays on the two key messages of the 2008 NDC campaign"Change" for a "Better Ghana". The ad poses a general question to the reader: "Has your life changed for the better?". It could easily cover as a positive message for the government which promised change for a better Ghana. Yet, it can so easily be a negative message from the opposition asking Ghanaians to check their own living conditions and answer for themselves whether or not things have improved as NDC promised. So far nobody or organization has owned up to the ad. But what is likely is that there will be a follow up. What is certain is that Election 2012 is on.
