A Presidential Aide, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, has posited that despite the much touted �Listening Campaign� being embarked on by the 2012 NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, he will not garner any meaningful votes in the upcoming general elections in 2012. Nana Addo, it would be recalled, began his nationwide �Listening Campaign� in the Eastern Region on July 4, 2011. The Listening Campaign, according to the NPP, will give their candidate the opportunity to listen at first hand to the concerns and suggestions of the citizenry to help him formulate the appropriate policies and programmes to address such concerns. His campaign for the 2012 elections began with prayers at the Christ Apostolic Preachers Church in Akwasiho, Abetifi, Kwahu. But Nii Lantey Vanderpuije believes so long as the NPP flagbearer squares off with President Mills, the NDC will always come up tops. To him, the recently held National Delegates� Congress in Sunyani was tougher the elections to be held in 2012 and wondered who in Ghana will vote for the NPP flagbearer. �Ghanaians should be real for who will vote for Nana Addo when he runs against President Mills?...Who is Nana Akufo-Addo?...Nobody will vote for him,� he asserted. Speaking in an interview on AsempaFM days after the NDC�s historic Sunyani Delegates� Congress which saw the re-election of President Mills as the party�s flagbearer for the 2012 elections, the Presidential Aide pointed out that the NDC is more united than ever and is through with its internal wranglings following the successful organization of the Congress. �The NDC as a party has finished with our internal struggles�We will be united and stand to address all the problems we have encountered. From our hearts, we love each other and are prepared for the fight ahead. I have heard people say that the fight will be tough but i believe that if we are one as a family, we will sail through it easily," he assured.
