JJ Man Goes Mad Over Akufo-Addo

Nana Ato Dadzie, one-time Chief of Staff under the Rawlings regime, is livid and threatening court action for being linked to a newspaper article which seeks to thwart Nana Akufo-Addos ongoing listening tour of the country. The said article comes under a similar name as his without Nana preceding it anyway. He has accordingly denied being the author on a number of radio stations. But the former Chief of Staff said despite the denials, people, particularly radio commentators, continued to link him with the diabolical plot to discredit the said campaign tour. It however appears that in spite of the interventions to set the records straight, the matter has gained a certain currency and is attracting for him, public opprobrium, especially with online contributors lambasting him unceasingly. His anger is particularly directed at a man he described as his friend of 25 years standing, John Ndebugre. I am expecting an apology from Mr. Ndebugre for having repeated the libel and let him say that he is not going to grant the apology and I would put him on the writ, Ato Dadzie fumed in an interview with Citi FM. He claimed that he and his family had been subjected to a litany of insults for allegedly being responsible for the article, which among other things, encouraged people to hoot at Nana Akufo-Addo when he comes campaigning. It also seeks to have the Mills administration do all that it can to retain power in the 2012 elections. Nana Ato Dadzie, a legal practitioner and representing some of the suspects in the Mabey & Johnson alleged bribery scandal, has denied any links to the publication headed We Blunt The NPP Or We Are In Trouble. The publication appeared first time on peacefmonline.com under the name Ato Dadzie, as the author. However, the former Chief of Staff has denied writing the article which was reproduced by The Chronicle last Friday with the footnote that I repeat we cannot take our record alone into 2012; we do not have any. While speaking to Accra-based Citi FM last Saturday, Ato Dadzie said, I have never written any article. I have never posted any mail on peacefmonline.com. I wrote a rejoinder on peacefmonline.com and it was removed; so clearly, a group of people is having an agenda of targeting personalities. This is unfair, this is dirty politics and I would not accept it. I intend exercising my legal rights. I am going to prepare my own writ and go to court, now it is all over the place and people have written all kinds of dirty rejoinders about me and my family . Having heard about the said article earlier from Titus Glover on Asempa FM, he said he quickly called into the programme to set the records straight that he was not the author and the gentleman apologized accordingly. Former PNC MP for Zebilla, he recalled, revisited the subject on Citi FMs Big Issue programme last Saturday and he was compelled to call in to offer a denial. He was at his wits end as to why Mr. Ndebugre would associate him with such an article, having known him for more than 25 years. I am shocked. I am disappointed because Mr. Ndebugre is a friend; he knows me. I have related to him for more than 25 or so years and he knows that, that article does not represent me and knows that I am not that type.. If Nana Ato-Dadzie is expecting an apology from his friend Ndebugre, he might not get one because the latter claims not to know what the former is looking for. Ndebugri said, I do not know what Nana is talking about. What should I apologise for? I am helping you by bringing it out so that you can come out and state categorically that you are not the one. The article in question appears to have attracted untold trouble for the legal practitioner and former confidant of ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, given the nasty reactions posted on the internet in reaction.
