Akufo-Addo Reiterates Promise To Provide Free SHS Education

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has reiterated that government under his administration would reform the education sector to meet the developmental need of the country. �I will ensure that all children in the country have the opportunity to go to school from Kindergarten to the Senior High School free of charge and restore the lost respect for teachers�. He said teachers would be motivated to enable them to give of their best to achieve the needed education in the country. Nana Akufo-Addo said this when he address the University of Education branch of the Tertiary Education Students Confederation (TESCON) at Winneba on Friday as part of a listening tour at the Effutu constituency. The Presidential Candidate, accompanied by some national and Central Regional executives, visited Awutu-Senya, Agona East as part of his three-day campaign listening tour of some constituencies in the Central Region. Nana Akufo-Addo, therefore, urged the people to vote him into power to use his vision to move the country forward and better the lots of the people. Mr Boakye Agyarko, Campaign Manager for Nana Akufo-Addo, said, �things have fallen apart under the NDC administration, adding that it is about time Ghanaians replace it with a zeal, courageous, skilful and a visionary President to manage the affairs of the country�. According to him, Nana Akufo-Addo is the best and patriotic person who should be voted in the 2012 elections to become the next President. Earlier in the day, he interacted with a cross-section of people including traders at Winneba Junction, Winneba, Ateitu, Ghyahadze, Nsuekyire, Gyegyenadze and New Winneba where he promised them of a better Ghana under his administration. He also addressed fisher folks at Winneba where they complained of high cost of fishing inputs.
