The Ghanaian Is Becoming Hopeless And Desolate NPP

Mr Boakye Agyarko, the Campaign Manager of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused the governing National Democratic Congress of creating a deep sea of misery through its failed policies in which the majority of the countrys citizens are swimming. He said the listening campaign of the NPP led by its flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had taken the campaign to parts of the country where the people simply have no hope. Mr Agyarko, speaking on Mondays Minority Caucus on MultiTV, said the policies of the Mills administration had stunted the growth of cottage industries, constricted progress in the private sector and reduced the purchasing power of city dwellers with a rippling effect on the earnings of farmers and other small scale business owners. The combination of all of these, he noted, had left the people desperate. We are crisscrossing communities, listening and sharing ideas. The first thing you hear is the general sense of helplessness and hopelessness. Ive seen people begin to feel that their local economies are beginning to collapse around them, he stated. Mr Agyarko said the response of local people to the NPP flagbearer and his team was simply phenomenal and that there was every indication that the Ghanaian people had seen through the deception and inaction of the NDC government. According to him, local people in various parts of the country were watching social intervention programmes instituted by the Kufuor administration to alleviate their peculiar precarious situation crumble as a result of lack of investments and attention by an insensitive and dormant government. Increasingly, we hear people talk about education, increasingly we hear people talk about healthcare, increasingly we hear people talk about unemployment. If you go round you will see a large number of young people, able bodied young people, sitting idle not because they are idlers but because they have nothing to do, the Campaign Manager stated. He said president Mills government had not formulated and implemented any programmes and policies to harness the energy of the youth for national development. The reception accorded the NPP flag-bearer, Mr Agyarko said, was simply amazing. He said observers will marvel at the egalitarian interaction between the people and the candidate.
