The tension in relation to the picking of running mate seems to be heightening as groups keep pushing for female candidature in the Ashanti Region as the NPP party weighs its options.

Peacefmonline Sampson Kwame Nyamekye said in a bold move, Teachers group from the New Patriotic Party are also championing for the female running mate to partner Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumiah come December polls.
