The Visa Free Trip To South Africa Is Real!

The South African High Commission, Ghana, recently announced that Ghanaians will no longer require a visa to travel to South Africa.

This move according to them will help boost the tourism industry and possibly attract more investors into their thriving tourism economy.

The governments of Ghana and South Africa have reached a visa waiver agreement to allow citizens of both countries to travel visa-free.

This was made known by Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in a post made on the social networking platform, X, where it said both countries have entered into an “agreement on a visa waiver regime for holders of ordinary passports.”

“Travellers may transit through, depart from and stay in the territory of both countries for a cumulative period of up to 90 days without recourse to work.

According to the post, the agreement took effect from 1 November.

If you are a Ghanaian, the directive from the South African High Commission on visa waiver simply means you are a passport away from entering South Africa.

This initiative serves as a relief for many Ghanaians who have over the years complained about the cumbersome process of acquiring a visa to Nelson Mandela’s country.
