Bawumia Will Lay His Broader Plan And Vision For Ghana On February 7 — Sammi Awuku

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is set to address the nation on February 7 to outline his vision and broader plan for Ghana ahead of this year's general elections.

According to Sammi Awuku, CEO of the National Lottery Authority, who spoke to Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', the Vice President has been preparing diligently ahead of this major speech.

He said Dr. Bawumia will use the opportunity to "set the tone for what will define his presidency".

"He's preparing towards speaking to the nation 7th of February and it will set the tone for what will define his presidency when elected. It's expected that he will lay his broader plan and vision for Ghana.

“He's also expected to speak on where we are and where we are going as well as the economy. The speech will also capture ideas that will be in the manifesto...Clearly, we have a job to perform and a task to deliver," Awuku said.

However, former CPP General Secretary James Kwabena Bonfeh, speaking on the same program, argued it has taken Dr. Bawumia too long to articulate his vision since being elected NPP flagbearer in November 2023.

”Between November 4 and January 17; it's too long a time not to have stated that vision," Bonfeh, known affectionately as Kabila said.
