Bawumia To Address The Nation On 7 February - Sammi Awuku Discloses

Barring any hitches, Vice President and the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will soon be addressing the nation to indicate his vision and plan for the country.

Kabila's bit

James Kwabena Bonfeh, former General Secretary of the Convention People's Party (CPP), during Wednesday's edition of 'Kokrokoo' urged Dr Bawumia to articulate his vision for the country.

Kabila as he is popularly called claims it's taken the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) too long to do so.

"...between November 4 and January 17; it's too long a time not to have stated that vision" he uttered.'

Sammi Awuku, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), speaking to this on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' clarified that it is incorrect to assume that the Vice President has become more relaxed after being elected as the flagbearer

"He's preparing towards speaking to the nation 7th February and it will set the tone for what will define his presidency when elected. It's expected that he will lay his broader plan and vision for Ghana. He's also expected to speak on where we are and where we are going as well as the economy. The speech will also capture ideas that will be in the manifesto...Clearly, we have a job to perform and a task to deliver" he indicated.
