GRAMMYS: Ghana's Stonebwoy Misses Out; Davido, Others Make It Big

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has missed out on a coveted spot in the Grammy Awards nominations for his latest album, "5th Dimension."

The initial excitement and anticipation among Ghanaian music enthusiasts and his followers have unfortunately turned into a heap of disappointment as the Recording Academy unveiled its nomination list earlier today.

Despite high hopes and positive expectation surrounding Stonebwoy's potential historic nomination at this year's Grammys, it appears that the dream will have to wait for now.

The list, however, features some prominent names on the African music scene. Notable mentions include Nigerian superstars Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Arya Starr and Olamide and South African breakout artiste Tyla, who gained widespread attention with her viral single, "Water."

Burna Boy bagged a total of four nominations while Davido, Asake, Arya Starr and Olamide were nominated for the first time.

Davido bagged three nominations.
