VIDEO: Over Twenty Thousand People Showed Up For “Showdown Walk” In Support Of Ken Agyapong

When NPP presidential aspirant Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong reacted to his agent’s life being threatened, many thought his “Showdown” warning would doom his campaign. But rather it has evolved into a craze that has taken Ghana by storm.

The youth has taken the “Showdown” and turned it into a trend resulting in a million Cedi business.
On Saturday, September 16, 2023, thousands braved the early morning traffic to gather at Ayi Mensah and embarked upon a procession toward the Assin Central MP’s Ken City building in Madina where he is expected to address them.

So catchy has the “Showdown” craze become that the main primary opponent and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has joined in using the term on his campaign trail.

News reporters along with their camera crews were on the scene to capture the images and speak with some of the teeming supporters.

The three-mile-long procession began at Ayi Mensah with over a thousand honking and shouting pro-Ken slogans as thousands more disembarked from buses from the opposing side of the dual-carriage road to join in.
