NPP Is ‘Falling’ In Dome-Kwabenya; We’ll Lose Votes If We Maintain Adwoa Safo – Constituency Sec.

NPP’s Dome-Kwabenya Constituency secretary, Theophilus Ansah Larbi says the ruling party will lose its seat in the area if it fails to effectively strategize to present a “more serious” candidate ahead of the 2024 election.

He believes the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Sarah Adwoa Safo, if maintained, will be ‘disastrous’ for the party.

We are going to lose votes if we continue to pamper her [Adwoa Safo]. We have the men and she is not the only person capable for the constituency,” He said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show, "Ghana Montie".

Adding that, “NPP is falling in Dome-Kwabenya and something must be done to save the party.

Theophilus Ansah Larbi's comment comes hours after Sarah Adwoa Safo offered an unreserved apology to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), specifically to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, for her recent behaviour.

Mrs Safo clarified that her actions were unintended and were a result of personal challenges she was grappling with, both as an individual and as a member of a family.

The former Deputy Majority Leader also sought forgiveness from the Majority Caucus, as well as from the party's regional and constituency executives.
