I Don’t Believe In ’Aduro Wo So’, I Am Ready To Help Bawumia- Sammi Awuku

Sammi Awuku has opened up about his willingness to help vice President Mahamudu Bawumia if he decides to contest as flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the near future.

The Director General of the National Lottery Authority of Ghana asserted in an interview on Movement TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com that he doesn’t subscribe to messages of ‘Aduro Me So’ to wit ‘it is my turn’ which is being pushed by other contestants who have shown interest in becoming flagbearer of the NPP.

According to him, “every election goes with its own dynamics and its own form. When there is a vacant seat every qualified person is entitled to fight for it.”

Mr. Awuku frankly told Gordon Asare Bediako on the show that “the vice president, he is a personal friend and I think that he possess some values and virtues that I believe if he decides to run and Ghanaians weigh him and help him, he would get far…I don’t work with ‘aduro me so’ slogan”.

As a former youth leader of the NPP, Mr. Awuku revealed that he has eyes and experience to spot things that can yield results.

“I have been youth leader before and I know when something would work from scratch” he said as he disclosed the reason for willing to support vice President Bawumia become flagbearer of the NPP.

He however revealed that he is patient and waiting for vice President Bawumia to finish all consultations before he would be doing open campaign for him.

“If he finishes with his consultation and files to contest when the party opens for nomination, and comes to me for help, I will gladly and openly do it”, Mr. Awuku said.
