Former Central Regional Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs has eulogized the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to be Ghana's economic "saviour".

Allotey Jacobs has asked first the New Patriotic Party to elect Dr. Bawumia as their flagbearer and implored Ghanaians to give him the nod to become the next President of Ghana.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show Wednesday morning, the former NDC Regional Chairman touted Dr. Bawumia as a man with a clean record.

"He is coming with an image that is crystal clear . . . he is not tainted nor dented, clean," he emphasized.

He strongly believes the Veep will bring economic relief to Ghanaians, stating, "for the first time in the history of this country, we are going to have an Economist who is going to lead a party to victory and to govern this country . . . it looks like he is the cornerstone for our economic development".
