Nestle Support Employees and Their Families with Ghc 7,500 Each Due to Economic Volatility in Ghana

Global Food and Beverage giant, Nestle is giving all its permanent local employees in Ghana one-off lump sum payment of Ghc 7,500 (Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Ghana Cedis) together with their upcoming October, 2022 salaries to cushion them due to the current economic hardship in the country.

In a statement sighted by Peacefmonline and signed by the company's Managing Director, Georgios Badaro, the unstable and unpredictable economic turbulence in the country since the beginning of 2022 has necessitated the action.

"The unstable and unpredictable economic turbulences we continue to see in Ghana since the beginning of 2022 have brought major challenges to our business.

"I am proud of how, as one team, we have been united to overcome these unprecedented challenges in a very difficult environment.

"Despite these difficulties and as a strong sign of appreciation to the efforts of each and every one of us, Management has decided to support employees and their families during this period," the statement said.
