#NPPDecides: Heavy Security Presence At The Accra Sports Stadium
The Ghana Police Service is ensuring safety at the Accra sports stadium for the National Delegates Conference of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
About 6, 100 delegates across the country will be voting for new officers for the political party.
The police have provided heavy security at the venue where high-ranking members of the party will gather to ensure a smooth election.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia are expected at the venue later in the day.
The police are leaving nothing to chance as recent reports have indicated that Ghana stands the risk of terrorist attacks.
Police personnel are seen at every corner of the Accra sports stadium.
Apart from the patrols, Police search every individual before you are allowed entry into the stadium.
