In His Own Time, He Makes All Things Beautiful – Okoe Boye Reacts To His Appointment

Former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, has reacted to his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

A letter issued and signed by the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare said that President Akufo-Addo has appointed the former Deputy Minister, as the CEO of NHIA, pursuant to ''Section 14(1) of the National Health Insurance Act, 2021 (Act 852)''.

The letter read: “Pursuant to Section 14 (1) of National Health Insurance Act, 2012 (Act 852), I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you to act as the Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (the “Authority”)), pending the receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission,”

The appointment takes effect Tuesday, 3rd May 2022.

Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, in a reaction on Facebook wrote: “In His own time, He makes all things beautiful. I thank God Almighty for remembering me. I remain eternally grateful to His Excellency, President Akufo-Addo for doing me this honor. Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your love, well wishes and prayers. To God be the glory, a great thing he has done”
