Get The Facts And Necessary Argument For a Better Public Discourse - First Lady Tells TESCON

First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has urged the National Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) to support the ruling government especially "in this period of global economic crisis".

The First Lady who was speaking at the TESCON's Training and Orientation Conference being held at Kasoa in the Central region said the students need to engage the public actively in explaining the economic challenges and what government is doing to solve them.

“I call on the TESCON fraternity to solidly support the government in this period of global economic crisis, there is light at the end of the tunnel but there is also work to be done. You need to engage the public actively in situating Ghana’s economic challenges and the solutions by the government,” she said.

She added that the "future of NPP depends on you (TESCON)" and that government will do everything to support them.

“You need to have the facts and the necessary arguments to enable better public discourse,” she added.

Meanwhile, she has commended TESCON for their contribution in bringing the NPP to power.

“I commend you for the hard work in the 2020 elections which gave us the mandate to govern the country again. The long days and night, strategic meetings, the door-to-door campaign of TESCON has no doubt made NPP formidable,” she added.
