Adwoa Safo’s Absence “Worrying” - John Boadu

Dome/Kwabenya constituency Member of Parliament (MP), Sarah Adwoa Safo’s continuous non-appearance in parliament has become a ‘headache’ to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
 
The leadership of the party are now venting their frustration since Sarah Adwoa Safo’s absence is someway affecting the Nana Addo-led government.
 
The party’s Chief Scribe on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ joined the tall list of individuals that have expressed their annoyance with Sarah Adwoa Safo.
 
John Boadu emphatically said he is not happy with Adwoa Safo’s behaviour.
 
It is worrying,” he noted – adding that, “If the law takes its place, that will be it.
 
However, reports indicate that the NPP will this week start processes aimed at removing Sarah Adowa Safo, MP for Dome-Kwabenya.

According to Article 97 (1)(c) of 1992 Constitution, "A member of Parliament shall vacate his/her seat in Parliament if he is absent, without the permission in writing of the Speaker and he is unable to offer a reasonable explanation to the Parliamentary Committee on Privileges from fifteen sitting of a meeting of Parliament during any period that Parliament has been summoned to meet and continues to meet; or station..."
