We support Operation Clean Your Frontage exercise But...-Concerned Circle Traders; Send Strong Message To Opportunistic Aspirant

Concern Traders of Circle has sent a strong warning to aspirants taking advantage of the unlawful demolition of trader’s property and stalls spearheaded by the Regional Minister at Circle some days ago.

The traders called out one Apenteng to be mindful and know how to react to the situation saying; “…not think that what the Regional Minister did is wholly right; we want to tell him that we are not illiterates. We are only at the roadside because of a situation and unemployment.”

“We are the same people who mostly campaigned in the markets and on the streets, house to house to canvass votes to the NPP party prior to election 2020 because of the good works of Nana Addo. But, you should remember that you will come and campaign for your party again.”

The traders applauded Moses Abor for his continued support to protect and speak for the grassroots and masses saying; “He is a loyal friend of ours and we will never forget him. We appreciate Moses Abor for his love and support.”

We have cited with dismay, an article circulating on social media by a certain Apenteng Mero, endorsing the unlikely and unlawful demolition of trader’s property and stalls spearheaded by the Regional Minister at Circle. Apenteng should not think that what the Regional Minister did is wholly right; we want to tell him that we are not illiterates. We are only at the roadside because of a situation and unemployment.

We are the same people who mostly campaigned in the markets and on the streets, house to house to canvass votes for the NPP party prior to election 2020 because of the good works of Nana Addo. But, you should remember that you will come and campaign for your party again.

Isn't it interesting, that a lazy populist aspirant who wants to be a Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer; because of parochial interest and propaganda, endorsing unlawful demolition to displace the Youth and masses? Remember that we are Ghanaians and we vote. We believe we could have done it in a peaceful way. We condemn the bad approach used by the Regional Minister to demolish our shops.

Thanks to Moses Abor who will continue in his quest to protect and speak for the grassroots and masses. He is a loyal friend of ours and we will never forget him. We appreciate Moses Abor for his love and support. He has never failed us since day one. We traders here at circle know you Apenteng Mero, you want to be Youth Organizer and instead of fighting for the grassroots, you have taken bribes to speak against us and the man who stood for us. Continue to rob us of our daily bread, 2024 is just around the corner.

We wholeheartedly support Operation Clean Your Frontage exercise and Let's Make Accra Work campaign, and We support that recalcitrant citizens who flout the law must be dealt with. We commend the Regional Minister for working hard to make Accra gain its lost glory, but in doing so let's not misplace our priorities- the idea was to clean up not to demolish. Once again, we acknowledge the support from the current Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer for his intervention.
