CRCC Inaugurate Committees For Development Strategy 

Central Regional Minister, Mrs Justina Marigold Assan, has inaugurated various Committees to spearhead the Central Region 2030 strategy which seeks to promote the local economy and develop the Region at large.

She observed that the Regional development strategy will focus on four main development dimensions namely; education, health, tourism, youth and technology and sanitation.

The Central Regional Minister disclosed this at the Central Regional Coordinating Council inauguration of Committees for the Regional development strategy at Cape Coast.

She charged the Committees to attach importance to the project to help achieve the targeted results.

She therefore commended all stakeholders to champion the noble course of the Region.

"You all have the central region at heart and your presence and contributions will go a long way to achieving our vision of transforming, creating job opportunities as well as harnessing our rich potentials for the benefit of our people."

Mrs Marigold Assan also appealed to all MMDCEs in the Region to identify tourist sites in their respective jurisdictions in order to raise revenue for development initiatives in the districts.

President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs who also doubles as the Omanhene of Breman traditional area, Odeefuo Amoakwa Buadu VIII on his part stated that, as Chiefs, they have the same vision and believe in the need to have a united front to spearhead the development of the Region, saying, "we don't want to be counted among the poor regions in the country, we deserve a better description''.

He pledged on behalf of the Chiefs in the Region to support the implementation of the strategic development plan.

"For the members of the committee, this is a call to serve your region as well as the nation and I am trusting that we shall collectively do our best to make a change in our Region," Odeefuo Buadu VIII added.
