Flouting COVID-19 Safety Protocols Is Not Worth It! - Ghanaians Warned

Legal practitioner, Fatimatu Abubakar has cautioned Ghanaians against flouting the COVID-19 safety protocols.

As the nation is saddled with the pandemic disease, it has become increasingly significant for every citizen to abide by the health instructions to prevent being infected and infecting others with the deadly disease.

COVID-19 has claimed 568 lives in Ghana and infected over 70,000 people across the country.

Due to the rapid rise of the disease, there have been incessant calls on Ghanaians to comply with the protocols but some people have decided to throw caution to the wind.

Speaking on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', lawyer Fati advised the recalcitrant Ghanaians not to toy with the disease stressing there is no sense in dying when all it takes to live is to follow the protocols.

She called on the citizenry to guard their lives against the disease.

"We plead with you that any person who will tell you to follow the COVID safety protocols loves you and is protecting your life. When you're told not to hold funerals or organize birthday parties, don't do it. There will be another year where there will be no COVID and you can organize as many parties you want, but if you seek today's joy and forget about the many years ahead of you and contract the disease, I want to tell you it is not worth it," she pleaded.
