The calls from various quarters for the party to consider Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin as the next Majority Leader are not being made without basis.

His exploits in the House coupled with his demeanour are pluses which should not elude the leadership of the party.

He is not only vibrant but also accurate with his facts and figures.

He rises up to the occasion when a member of the team is in trouble. A case in point was when Parliament’s Privileges Committee recommended that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong should be suspended for some unsavory allusions. Afenyo-Markin, as can be seen in this video, contributed immensely to the House changing its mind on the matter.

When it comes to engaging the Minority in debates, Afenyo-Markin lives up to the hype. When it comes to supporting a policy of the Government, he does it with determination.

When it comes to defending a member of the Majority on the floor of the House, he does it with his all.

These and many other factors get us convinced that Honourable Afenyo-Markin is the best person to lead the Majority side now.
