Check For A 'Validating Stamp' On The Ballot Paper Before You Vote - Sammi Awuku Tells Voters

National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has advised Ghanaian electorates to check for validating stamp at the back of their ballot paper before they cast their vote on Monday, December 7.

Sammi Awuku, speaking on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', explained that it is constitutional that every ballot paper will have an official stamp of the Electoral Commission to make it valid for counting.

He noted that a ballot paper that has no stamp will be a rejected vote.

''When you collect the ballot paper, make sure you check to see it has a stamp at the back. Your ballot will not be counted if it's not stamped. So, when you find out it's not stamped, alert the EC official to do the right thing before you cast your vote . . . The ballot paper must be stamped!''

He called for an enhanced education to inform the electorates ahead of the elections because there are some people who are oblivious of this fact.

He, however, urged the electorates to vote for the NPP Presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to secure a second term in office.
