Head of Operations of the Forestry Commission, Charles Owusu has called on the Ghana Police Service to search for the highway robbers who shot the Mfantseman Member of Parliament, Ekow Quansah Hayford dead.

Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford met his untimely death in the early hours of Friday, October 9 by highway robbers.

According to Peace FM correspondent in the Central Region, Ibrahim Dadzie, the MP was shot dead while returning from a campaign trip.

The robbers reportedly questioned the identity of the deceased who answered by saying he is a Member of Parliament and incurred the wrath of one of the robbers.

The robber blamed him for the hardships he and his gang are facing and annoyingly shot him twice resulting in his death.

Charles Owusu admonished the Police Service to up their game and apprehend the robbers, ensuring they face prosecution for their crime.

He also sent a message to the robbers for taking the life of the MP saying the wages of sin is death, hence they should not think they will escape from what they have done to the late MP.

" . . every sin has its consequences. So, those who feel they can commit sin and later repent like Paul who they use as an example will still bear the repercussions," he sorrowfully said on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo'.

He further sent his condolences to the deceased family.
