NDC And NPP Are Engaging In Useless Politics

The 2008 presidential candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, says the two main political parties are engaging in useless politics. Dr Nduom believes the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are engaging in this practice at the expense of developmental issues. The business consultant said this during an interview with Joy News. He accused the two parties of failing to address the needs of the ordinary Ghanaian and rather fighting for power. A recent survey that a marketing company did came out with economic matters and unemployment as the major issues that people are concerned with and we dont believe that the NDC or the NPP want to address those issues or have addressed them adequately in this fourth republic and so we believe that the concentration has been on getting power. And getting power not necessarily being ready and preparing themselves for dealing with the issues that Ghanaians are most concerned with, he said. He told Joy News the NDC and the NPP must be responsive to the needs of the electorates. Quarshigah fired Dr. Ndoums concerns come on the back of a similar accusation by a new group calling themselves MOVE Ghana. Dr. Ndoum denied any link to the group as suggested by NDC propaganda secretary Richard Quashigah. If someone like Richard Quarshigah was to accuse me of something, Im also not surprised. What I will suggest to him is let him go and find some ideas. Let him go and dream of some solutions to the problems that we have. That is what is important. He wants to play a propaganda game thats up to him; he wants to play a power game thats up to him and Ghanaians eventually will catch up to people who play those kinds of games because the problems confronting Ghanaians are real. Unemployment is real; poor education is real, he lamented.
