PNC Will Never Progress Till The Infighting Stops - Atik Mohammed

Outgoing General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has urged the incoming new executives to foster unity in the party.

Speaking on ''Kokrokoo'' on Peace FM, Atik Mohammed stated that the PNC is saddled with a bigger problem of infightings and therefore expects the new executives to concentrate on building up the party without strife.

"Until we're able to rid ourselves of those infightings, I'm not sure the PNC will make any progress," he advised.

To him, the PNC needs a full-scale transformation before the party can win the hearts of Ghanaians to become a powerful force to reckon with in the political space.

"We always say the economy of Ghana needs transformation. The People's National Convention equally requires transformation and I hope the next batch of leaders will apply themselves very seriously to the work and stop the petty infighting."

Atik Mohammed has officially bowed out of the PNC General Secretary contest neither will he stand for any other position in the party.

"I'm not seeking re-election neither am I running for any other position in the PNC . . . At least, it will allow me some time to think about future pursuits. God didn't create me to only do politics," he announced on ''Kokrokoo'' on Thursday, August 20, 2020.
