Both Akufo-Addo & Mahama Are Not "New Brides", Ghanaians Can Tell Which One Behaved Well In Marriage - Okoe Boye

The 2020 elections promise to be a fierce contest between President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Ex-President John Dramani Mahama since never in the history of Ghana has a former President contested a sitting President for the Presidential seat.

Even before Ghanaians head to the polling stations in December to cast their ballots and elect the President for the next administration, there are already heated arguments about whether or not President John Mahama deserves to come back to power.

The arguments suggest this year will be tough for both Presidential candidates but Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye thinks otherwise.

He believes it will be easy for Ghanaians to pick the person who deserves to lead them in 2021.

''. . the two leaders are not new brides and so let's speak to the debate of works, the debate of output and not the debate of words,” he said on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo'.

For further clarifications, Dr. Okoe Boye likened President Akufo-Addo and his political rival to married couple saying ''Mahama is not a bride who is about to go into marriage. Mahama is like a widow who has lived through marriage before; we know him. Akufo-Addo too has been married for three and half years. Ghana has married him; we know his marital attitude''.
