Tarkwa Nsueam MP Extols Akufo-Addo For Amidu's Appointment

Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tarkwa-Nsueam constituency, George Mireku Duker, has said President Akufo-Addo has gone beyond the deeds that lead one into heaven by electing a staunch political opposition member to be the Special Prosecutor in his administration.

He said it will take only a neutral, strong and committed leader to elect such a caliber to head its prosecution office, when the appointee is very much aware that members of his political party are also facing various court trials.

George Mireku Duker on UTV's 'Adekye Nsroma' newspaper discussion show insisted that the creation of the Special Prosecutors office aside the Attorney General's office shows how determined the first gentleman of land is to fight and reduce the level of corruption in the country.

"Office of the Special Prosecutors has been of greater gain to the nation than what we taught of because we needed a Specialist and an independent person to occupy such a sensitive position," he said.

Meanwhile, he charged the Special Prosecutor to speed up on his deliveries of prosecution cases now that his needed work requirements have been met.
