A group of party members affiliated to the ruling New Patriotic Party who have labelled themselves 'Footsoldiers' have served notice of their preparedness to fund Kofi Ofosu Nkansah's campaign as he gears up to pick his nomination forms.
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah who heads Accra Digital Centre as its Managing Director is aiming to represent Asante Akyem Central in Parliament as the 2020 elections inch closer.
A footsoldier and an activist of the ruling party, Bra Sammy who is a beneficiary of Kofi Ofosu's magnificent leadership style has urged other footsoldiers of the party to help in contributing towards the aspiring candidate's campaign.
"Kofi Ofosu is an epitome of magnanimity. He is hardworking, sociable and always ready to lend a helping hand to footsoldiers. If I were to list the number of people who have gotten employment through him, you would be surprised. We are many, and we are paying GHC100 towards his campaign. It is called Footsoldiers Personal Project, and it is to gather enough cash to help our brother" Bra Sammy said.
Another footsoldier, Frank Osei Yeboah who could not hide his gratitude for what Kofi Ofosu Nkansah has done for him and his friends also expressed his commitment to contribute to this special fund and to rope in other footsoldiers to also donate some money to help fund the young enterprising politician.
Popularly referred to as the Footsoldiers President, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah (Opoofo) is known to have helped hundreds of footsoldiers in job acquisitions and placements.
It comes as nothing surprising that this project has been instituted to help raise funds to support Kofi Ofosu in his bid to go to Parliament to represent his constituents.
