Bawumia Must Answer Why The Cedi Keeps Rising After Arresting It And Handing The Keys To The IGP!

National Communications Officer for the largest opposition party [NDC], Sammy Gyamfi, believes the current administration clearly has no panacea to the unbridled downward spiral of the cedi against major trading foreign currencies.

He accuses the ruling government of being only good at espousing irrelevant economic theories while pretending as if all is well.

On a serious note, we know the reasons behind the cedi depreciation of which this government is well aware of, but have failed to tackle it and all it is good at is always hide behind cheap slogans framing pictures of good and positive initiatives they have embarked on which are not true,” he said.

To Sammy Gyamfi, the NPP only lied its way to power and is now found wanting after the ruling party realized they cannot fulfill its numerous sweet promises.

Making reference to some utterances made by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia in 2017, a few months after the NPP was voted into power, the NDC Communications Officer fumed; “you claim to have arrested and imprison the cedi and given the keys to the IGP, why the unrelenting rise?” he rhetorically asked on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nrsoma’ programme.

… also in opposition you maintained to have all the answers to our economic problems especially the current vice-President who insisted he has worked with Bank of Ghana before therefore there is no financial challenge he cannot tackle,” he indicted.
