NPP Solidly Behind EC; Tells Commission To Remain Resolute

NPP Director of Communications and Member of Parliament for Adenta, Lawyer Buabeng Asamoah has commended the Electoral Commission for their courage to compile a new voters’ register.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrooko”, Lawyer Asamoah said the EC is the best referee for the general elections, hence compiling a new register should be their sole responsibility.

He advised the EC to remain resolute and calm, and not yield to opposition.

Lawyer Asamoah further affirmed that the EC doesn’t have any political affiliations.

He therefore advised the National Democratic Congress and other opposing parties to stop fueling their partisan interests over national interest.

“We should all work on having a peaceful Ghana and help Ghana progress”.

He also urged members of the NPP not to be deterred by the opposition rants over the new register but fully support it by going out in numbers to register when the Electoral Commission opens registration.
