Victor Smith Leads NDC 'Okyeman Caucus' To Beg For Kwame Zu

A group calling itself  the Okyeman caucus in the NDC has begged the Okyeman Traditional Council to “temper justice with mercy” over comments made by its Ashanti regional Secretary, Kwame Zu deemed to insult Okyeman.

The group led by Victor Smith said they don’t want any ‘conflict’ between the NDC and the Okyeman after pleading to meet with the leadership for a peaceful dialogue.

During a demonstration organised by the Coalition for National Sovereignty in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi last week, Kwame Zu said the people of Okyeman in the Eastern region were drinking from water sources used by animals but for the Mahama administration.

The comment infuriated the traditional authority while its youths have demonstrated declaring NDC functionaries are not allowed in any of its palaces until the party takes steps to appease Okyeman.
