NDC ‘Unqualified & Disgraceful’ Babies With Sharp Teeth Must Be Checked – Dr Ayensu On Kwame Zu’s Gaffe

Dr Ebenezer Ayensu of the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, Legon has asked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to call their communicators to order.

This follows some comments made by the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC Kwame Zu against Okyenhene,
Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II.

Kwame Zu reportedly said that the people of Kyebi competed with animals for water until former President John Mahama of the NDC provided a source of water for its residents.

This comment has been described by Okyeman as abusive and is demanding for pacification from the party.

Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council is calling on the NDC to apologize to the throne. Even though Kwame Zu has apologized, the council insists it is not enough and has lined up a number of things the party needs to do or face their wrath.

In reaction to this in an interview on Peace FM Midday news, Dr Ayensu said the action being taken by the
Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council is 'in the right direction'

He said it seems politicians are taking the role chiefs play for granted and it is time they are checked.

"The pettiness in our politics and that is why politics should not be left in hands of children who are not qualified in any way; even by their speech, they are a disgrace to our politics. There is too much pettiness in our politics. The leaders in the party must put their feet down and ensure that those young ones are shut down.
