SHS Placement Saga: This Is An Evidence Of "Ghana Not Working" Under Akufo-Addo – Kojo Danquah

A communication team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kojo Danquah has says the brouhaha about the Senior High School (SHS) placement is an evidence of "Ghana not working" under the Akufo-Addo regime.

According to him, the current education system is poorly structured and causing more problems.

Speaking on a UTV late news, Mr. Danquah stated emphatically that President Akufo-Addo and his government has failed Ghanaians because “the computerized placement system has been practiced in the country for more than 10 years but under super incompetent Akufo-Addo’s regime, everything has turned upside down.”

“Everything is not working under this current administration…There is high rate of insecurity and crimes under President Akufo-Addo’s administration …Everybody is not safe…Fuel prices increased….It is time that they start working to fulfill every promise made to the good citizens of this country…Looking at what happened at the Independence Square yesterday, it's a shame and a clear indication of an evidence of Ghana not working,” he stressed.

Thousands of parents and guardians, besieged the Black Star Square Monday morning to secure placement for their children and wards who were not placed in their selected Senior High Schools .

The exercise at the Black Star Square was to enable qualified students to get a placement at a school they may not have chosen but has space.

Monday’s exercise also enabled other students to change their placements.

Schools resume this week but a throngs of qualified students couldn't secure placements by the CSSPS.

The aggrieved parents lamented about the plight of their children as they poured out their grievances to the authorities in the education sector.
