Adentan Road Construction Near Completion…MP Embarks On “Project Achievements Tour” (PHOTOS)

Rehabilitation works on a 4.5 km stretch of road at Adentan have commenced to bring relief to drivers and commuters in the area.

Member of Parliament for Adentan constituency, Hon. Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has assured the residents the project on the main road between School and Ritz Junctions respectively will be completed in few weeks.

He added that the road from Adjriganor to Trasasco within the Adentan Township will also be done and ensured it is in good shape.

Hon. Buabeng Asamoah, speaking in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, revealed that the contractor - Oswald Investment Ltd - is expected to fix the roads in three weeks.

“The contractors are working to meet the deadline...This is what I can do for my constituency and we are doing it...The major concern that is causing the delay of the project is the use of the roads whiles work is in session.

“The contractor was worried and believes that if we least interfere, work will progress faster. If he is given full access, probably within two to three weeks, we should see asphalt being laid. Virtually all the ancillary works are done. He needs the space to now lay the final surface. So it should not be longer than two-three weeks“, he said at an inspection tour of the project.

“The commercial people must appreciate that they have a role to play. Their role is to keep their activities contained. [We are] in the process of finding a temporal place for commercial drivers to use so as not to disturb the flow of work”.

He appealed to the constituents to cooperate with the contractor to complete the work.
