T-Shirts of Nana Addo And Alan Banned At NPP Confab

The wearing of T-shirts of former Presidential aspirants Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and Alan Kyeremanten during the New Patriotic Party�s National Delegates Conference on Saturday February 27, has been banned. National Chairman of the NPP, Peter Mac Manu says reports reaching the party indicate that some detractors of the party are printing T-shirts of the two personalities with the intension to cause confusion on Saturday. �We are told that some individuals who are not members of the NPP are printing T-Shirts of Nana Akuffo Addo and Alan Kyeremanteng just to come and cause trouble at the conference,� Mac Manu said. Speaking to Citi News, the out-going National Chairman of the party, Mr Mac Manu said to avert any untoward incident from happening at the Conference, all persons especially party members have been advised not to wear T-Shirts of Nana Akuffo Addo and Alan Kyeremanteng to the grounds. �We advice that nobody should wear T-shirts of any of the two�to bring the kind of confusion our detractors will want to put up at the conference grounds,� He added. Meanwhile, the Communications Director of the Party, Kwaku Kwarteng, has told Citi News that all is set for the National Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party. The conference which is aimed at electing new national executives for the party would be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The conference which has been slated for the 27th of February has seen several postponements. Ahead of the Conference, several other meetings have been held to settle outstanding issues within the party. Some leading members expected to speak at the conference include former President J.A Kuffour, the National Chairman, the minority leader in parliament and a representative of the party�s youth wing. Kwaku kwarteng however assured delegates that all logistics needed for the conference have been secured and the security of the delegates is assured. �We have had discussions with the Ashanti Regional security services so security arrangements are complete and we are confident that we would have adequate security on the day,� Kwaku Kwarteng said. He also added that he is hopeful that the conference would end successfully.
