The National Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B has debunked assertions that the Akufo-Addo government has not fulfilled its promise of allocating every constituency with one million dollars for its development.

According to the charismatic youth leader, a lot of projects earmarked to be constructed with the fund are ongoing at the various constituencies with some even near completion.

Nana B, contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, explained that the money is to be used for specific projects to address certain needs of the constituencies and not for various individuals usage.

“There is a wrong perception by many people especially the opposition NDC that the one million dollar per constituency was money that would be given to various individuals for usage…setting the records striaght, that money is not  meant to be given to individual to scoundrel...it is meant for developmental projects within the constituencies”, he said.

He again said that part of the money is being used wisely in creating toilets with mechanized boreholes to address sanitation issues, ultra modern market for market women, an ambulance per constituency etc,’ he revealed.
