Gov’t Being Pursued By Their Own Words – NDC Communicator

Deputy Communications Officer of the NDC in the Brong Ahafo Region, Eric Agyei says members of the ruling government are being pursued by their own words and promises made few years ago.

According to him the NPP had the audacity to have series of press conferences during former President Mahama’s ‘dumsor’ days to chastise the past government.

Making reference to statements made by members of the NPP during the NDC’s ‘dumsor’ days, Eric Agyei recalled how Dr. Bawumia in those days claimed Ghana had the means to manage its own economy without seeking help from other countries.

He added that many NPP members backed his claim that the NDC should just leave government because they were confused on how to deal with the numerous problems facing the country.

“Bear in mind that you are being hassled in recent times due to how you analyzed the same problems few years ago under former President Mahama’s administration. Don’t be in haste to find answers to the words used against your government for you did worst whiles in opposition,” he asserted.

In an interview with UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, the NDC communicator urged the government of the day to learn how to address issues whiles in opposition and also tell citizens the truth about the recent power outages.

“ . . Enough of the lies and deceit, tell us the truth on the recent power outages and outline measures to curb it than wanting to still maintain your opposition day talks, they won’t work this time around,” he said.

He added that the greatest problem facing the NPP is their “lip service keeping them in haste to speak to every issue even when experts in the said field have not analyzed the problem yet”.
