The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Sammy Awuku is urging the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo to own up by admitting that the leaked tape is his voice as well as the contents in the tape, in order to save his credibility.

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi says a leaked audio believed to be that of the Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo is fake and doctored.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, the leaked tape has been doctored to achieve a deliberate, mischievous and evil purpose.

Sammy Gyamfi admitted that the tape sounds like the voice of the NDC National Chairman but said it is obviously a diversionary tactics by the NPP.

But Sammy Awuku reacting on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, said the leaked tape is not fake or doctored as the NDC want to portray in the media; thus, every words said in the leaked tape is that of NDC National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.

According to him, he is of the strongest opinion that he (Ofosu-Ampofo) cannot deny the tape and therefore asked him to be sober upon reflection and then apologize to Ghanaians.

"If he does not take care he will lose his credibility in the eyes of Ghanaians . . . he should accept his fault and apologize to save his face," he stressed.
