Allotey Jacobs: I Disagree With Minority's "Bloody Widow" Description of Lydia Seyram

Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has taken a swipe at the Minority in Parliament over their description of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament-elect, Lydia Seyram Alhassan as a "bloody widow".

Speaking on "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM, Allotey Jacobs noted that it is not a good thing for the Minority to call a woman who has lost her husband "bloody widow", stressing further that the same measure the Minority is using on the widow could equally be used against them in future.

The Minority in Parliament walked out during the swearing in of the newly elected Member brandishing placards with "bloody widow" inscribed upon.

Addressing the issue, Allotey Jacobs told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that he however supports the Minority's decision to stage a walkout in Parliament when Hon. Seyram Alhassan takes to the floor of the House.

I disagree with the inscription on the placards that ‘bloody Widow’. Today, it’s me; tomorrow it will be you”, he advised the Minority.
