I Will Crush Mahama – Odike

Leader of United Progressive Party (UPP), Akwasi Addai, affectionately called ‘Odike,’ has vowed to prevent ex-President John Mahama from becoming the president of Ghana again.

He stated that Mr Mahama’s tenure as president resulted in myriad of problems and extreme financial difficulties for the people, especially the ordinary Ghanaians, due to his bad leadership.

Odike therefore stated emphatically that the plight of Ghanaians would worsen if Ghanaians re-elect Mr Mahama in 2020.

Speaking in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, the UPP Founder said, “I will personally devote my time and resources to thwart any attempt by Mr. Mahama to become the president of the country again.

“Mr Mahama has proven that he lacks leadership qualities therefore I will do this country a great disservice if I sit aloof and watch for this incompetent Mr. Mahama to become president again.”

Odike claimed he knows all the diabolic and illegal strategies that Mr Mahama would employ to win the 2020 elections should the NDC elect him (Mahama) as its flagbearer.

“I will expose him, and I don’t hate Mr Mahama as a person, but I will do everything possible to prevent him from becoming Ghana’s president again, because of his incompetent, he doesn’t deserve to be president.”

Odike, who is very outspoken, said ex-President Mahama destroyed the country’s economy and imposed hardship on the citizenry, saying that “such person should not become president again.”

NDC Divided

The UPP leader said despite claims by Mr Mahama that the NDC was united, the party lost the 2016 elections embarrassingly.

“We later realized that the NDC was sharply divided under the watch of former President John Mahama.

According to him, the divided NDC was not ready to wrestle power from the competent New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, urging the NDC to blame Mr Mahama for its woes.

Keep Fit Club

Odike indicated that the largest opposition political party in the country has now become a ‘Keep Fit Club,’ saying “the NDC should be bold and say they are now a keep fit club.”

According to him, the NDC’s current weird strategy of embarking on Keep Fit walks cannot win sympathy for the party.

“If Mr Mahama and his supporters are aged and they want to keep fit, they should state that clearly.”
