Thumbs Up For COP Kofi Boakye

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has tagged the Ashanti regional police commander, Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye as a fair police officer in the discharge of his duty.

Mr. Agyapong, in a post-election statement in Kumasi said that COP Kofi Boakye, who is commonly known as Commander One, is a professional police officer who acts according to the law.

He lauded the Ashanti regional police command and the fourth Battalion (Military) for policing the polls for a successful peaceful election in the region.

Reacting to the backlash of Commander One, amidst the thumb-printed ballots papers which were retrieved from the Madison Lodge Guest House at TUC in Kumasi, the maverick legislature noted: “Kofi Boakye was fair in what he did; he was fair in Ashanti region”.
An elated Kennedy Agyapong, who spoke on Kumasi-based ASHH FM thanked the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the entire people in Ashanti region for supporting the NPP to power.

He hailed the Ghanaian youth for their splendid participation in the elections, stressing that the president-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will create jobs for the youth to secure their otherwise bleak future.

According to him, in the face of the saber-rattling military force without any provocation in places like Tema community 4 and his hometown, the youth resisted and protected the ballots.

He noted: “I salute the youth of Ghana .The youth have done well: they defied gun threats and put out their lives to protect the ballots.

He assured them that the incoming Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government will not replicate corruption which prevailed in the NDC government.

The firebrand legislature disclosed that the Mahama administration spent colossal amount of money.

Mr. Agyapong noted that the NDC lost because they did not respect Ghanaians who abhor arrogance; hence they watched in patience and voted the NDC out at the right time.
