EC Is Creating Unnecessary Tension - AFAG

The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) wish to state categorically that, the quietness of the EC is setting Ghana for war. AFAG after 2012 disputed elections, urged the NPP to accept the court's ruling for the country to move forward.

Fellow countrymen, as a group who believe in the rule of law, we are worried that the posture of the EC is a reciepe for disaster. There is no room for ambiguity. The EC should stop making excuses. Challenges to voting and declaration are managed at the local level, thus, constituencies and not in Accra.

The undue delay in declaring results in some constituencies is worrying and giving room for anxiety. The EC per its press conference is making too many excuses.  Election results are not won at the EC's headquarters. Indeed all elected parliamentary candidates have access to their results. The EC can't alter the peoples will.

We urge all to stand up for the truth. A united & peaceful Ghana is more paramount than the vested interest of anyone at this moment.

 Declare the results now
