Reject President Mahama Former Ashaiman MCE

The Greater Accra Regional 1st vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party and former MCE for Ashaiman Mr. Albert Okyere has charged people of Ashaiman to reject President John Dramani Mahama and NDC in the upcoming general elections.

Addressing supporters of the New Patriotic Party at the launch of the Door to Door Campaign spearheaded by Mr. David Kofi Antwi, who is the coordinator for Nii Doku Electoral, Mr. Albert Okyere argued that President Mahama doesn't deserve another term in because he had failed the constituency.

Mr. Okyere, who was the first Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ashaiman after the erstwhile NPP administration led by President John Agyekum Kufuor carved Ashaiman out of Tema Metropolitan Assembly said, his eighth months in office saw massive developmental projects in the area as compared to what NDC had done for almost 8 years.

He claimed that some elders of the NDC in the constituency have admitted that Ashaiman witnessed more development projects when he was the MCE under the Kufour administration.

"Three days ago I was having a chat with three NDC elders in the constituency and they all told me that NPP did a lot of projects for Ashaiman than what the NDC under the former Chief Executive and the current one had done," he claimed.

Mr. Albert Okyere condemned the NDC administration for taken the people of Ashaiman for granted saying “The NDC knows that whether they develop Ashaiman constituency or not the electorates would still for them.”

He said the NDC would have completed the 4km Ashaiman main road which stretches from the Ashaiman Senior High School to Adjei Kojo junction if they were really committed to the people of Ashaiman.

He noted that it took the NDC administration six good years to work on the road which is the only major road connecting the entire township.

He was optimistic the people of Ashaiman would on December 7, vote massively for the New Patriotic Party in the upcoming general elections after witnessing the poor performance of the NDC government.

"I believe the people of Ashaiman have carried water and alcohol and they can tell which one is weightier. They have seen that when NPP was in power they witnessed massive developments than under NDC, and I hope they will vote for us because our flagbearer has a well -thought out policies for Ghanaians, “he concluded.

The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Ashaiman Alhaji Yakubu Labaran Barry who promised to annex the seat from the incumbent reminded the people of Ashaiman about the policies of the flagbearer of the NPP Nana Akufo-Addo.

He mentioned the Zongo Development Fund, One-District-One Factory, Free SHS, Free Maternal Health Care and the establishment of Development Authorities.

He appealed to the electorates to vote massively for him assuring that there would be jobs for the unemployed under his leadership.
