NDC Thugs Vandalise NPP Office..

The constituency office of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asunafo South District capital, Kukuom, in the Brong Ahafo region has been reportedly ransacked by macho men.

Photos of the office show that several items in the office appear to have been tampered with by the cutlass and machete wielding thugs.

According to Adom News, the incident began when members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) accused the NPP of busing foreigners to transfer their votes to the polling in the ongoing voter transfer exercise by the Electoral Commission (EC) ahead of the December 7 general elections.

The items destroyed in the office include computers, television, office tables and chairs and files with the database of party members. The incident occurred on Wednesday after three former constituency executives were assaulted at a polling station in Kukuom while monitoring the ongoing voter transfer exercise.

The driver of the Parliamentary candidate for Asunafo South, George Boakye sustained head injuries during the scuffle. The driver, Louis Busia was rushed to the Goaso Hospital for medical treatment.

Other former constituency officers including the former chairman, Mr. Osei Bonsu, were subjected to severe beatings.

An NPP member in the constituency, Jephthah Apaw in an interview on Adom News said they lodged a complaint at the police station and have been given medical forms for treatment.

He warned of reprisal attacks if the police fail to bring the culprits to book.
