Social Vices Soaring High Under Mahama's Administration - CPP

The Convention Peoples' Party (CPP) has blamed the Mahama administration for the rise in social vices in the country.

According to the campaign strategist of party, James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly known as Kabila, the increase in social vices is as a result of the "selfish and bad governance "of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking at a day's rally at Sampa, the Jaman North district capital in the Brong Ahafo region on Wednesday, Kwabena Bomfeh revealed that the Mahama-led administration has nothing to offer Ghanaians than to enrich themselves and their cronies at the expense of the tax payer.

"They have not fulfilled even 10% of their manifesto after they assumed power the last eight years that is why your town roads are dusty . . . Both the NDC and NPP have been in power yet your lives have not been transformed so why vote for them again?"

He continued to say that "robbery cases have escalated in recent times because the NDC government has neglected its responsibilities of empowering the youth, creating jobs and making education affordable, so those who have no access to these engage in robbing and drug trafficking."

He explained that the umbrella which is the symbol of the ruling party signifies selfishness hence the hardships Ghanaians are experiencing.

"Don't vote for the NPP, for the elephant to destroy Ghana, don't vote for the NDC because their symbol, the umbrella will give their leaders comfort on sunny and rainy days. An umbrella can't cover a whole nation but the cockerel which is the symbol of the CPP crows for all to wake in unison and work for the betterment of a country."

On his part, the Flagbearer of the CPP, Ivor Greenstreet, posited that leaders under the fourth Republic are self-seeking who did not seek the welfare of the citizenry.

“The leaders who have been leading us all of these years, you can see that they are people who are there to serve themselves and Ghanaians are suffering as a result. We have brought the new covenant (Apam foforo) which will bring good policies and create sustainable jobs for Ghanaians so vote for CPP," he added.

The flagbearer as part of his 'Apam foforo' tour will visit the Atebubu - Amantin district as well as the Pru and Sene districts in the region.
