Nhyiaeso NDC Polling Station Agent Defects To PPP

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) agent of the Anyinam Polling Station “A” in the Nhyiaeso Constituency has declared he is parting company with the NDC to join the Progressive People’s Party (PPP).

Mr Daniel Okyere, aka Ebo, told the Daily Graphic he had been working with the NDC but realised “Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom’s PPP is the only option” for him.

He made his intentions known after the PPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso, Mr Kofi Debrah Afrifa, and his team of constituency executive paid a courtesy call on the Anyinamhene, Nana Adu Baafi III, to seek his blessing in the build-up to the 2016 December presidential and parliamentary elections.

He showed his party identity branch number “F140501A” and ID  card Number “795253104F”, which indicated that he had been working for the NDC.

The NDC agent emphasised that he was not joining the PPP for monetary gains but that having monitored the PPP and their policy statements he believed the PPP was the party that could relieve Ghanaians of their burden.

He said though the NDC was working to retain President John Dramani Mahama, replacing him with Dr Nduom would be better.

He said he was more than ready to work with the PPP constituency executive and win the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections and called on the PPP office in the constituency to receive him.

He said with the experiences in his political life, he could help the PPP to mount several strategies to win the election in the constituency.

He, however, called on others to join him in the PPP.

The Parliamentary Candidate of the PPP for Nhyiaeso, Kofi Debrah Afrifa, welcomed Mr Okyere and asked the constituency executive to embrace him as well.

He gave an assurance that just as the PPP would not disappoint Ghanaians in the area of development when voted for, the party would not turn its back on him (Ebo) for joining the party.

He asked him to comport himself and do his best to help the party to win the election just as he (Ebo) had promised.
