The National Communications Director of 'Strong Pillars of Mahama,' Mr. Assem Humpreh Darkeh has announced that the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under the current leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama will retain power in the upcoming December 7, elections.

He said the rank and file of the party should, thus, consider equipping all party groups in tertiary institutions in the country with the necessary logistics to embark on an effective crusade since a chunk of the campaign, he noted, will be down in the various schools.

He further opined in an interview with the Daily Heritage that all patrons ought to be assigned special roles as may be suggested by the party and that the leadership should collaborate with grassroots supporters for the necessary directives.

"Leadership must keep in touch with grassroots supporters for an efficient electoral operators and answer all phone calls where necessary," he advised.
Mr. Darkeh averred in his statement that despite the readiness and commitment of the association to do all it cold within its might to secure victory for the party, the controlling powers of NDC must on their part demonstrate their readiness to facilitate the much anticipated December victory and stay away from any form of political 'cancer' that has the potential of affecting the fortunes of the party.

The National Communications Director bemoaned the lack of resources for most NDC communicators despite their many contributions towards the success of the party and advised that it was about time the rank and file of the party resourced most of them so that they could speak about the party's achievements to the Ghanaian people.

He added that all women group should be identified and given the necessary support for effective and successful campaign.

All the support needed for the activities of support groups for a common goal, he stressed, should be provided.

"As we approach December 7, every member of the NDC should begin to campaign vigorously for the party: showcasing all the developmental projects that the president together with his team has done," he charged.
